Supported Work Program - Occupational Development Center - Itasca County

- The ODC contracts with local companies to perform work at their place of business. - This provides ODC participants and employees with meaningful work and in some cases, results in a transition from sheltered employment to competitive employment. - Examples of community based work are: - Mobile Work Crews - Jobs such as yard work, cleaning, etc. - Enclave (Small work crew) - ODC contracts with an industry and provides a trainer as needed - The industry provides material and site of work - Individual Work Site - ODC contracts to perform work for just one individual - The work is done at the place of business and a trainer from ODC will be provided as needed

Primarily serves Itasca County Any working aged person, 16 years of age or older, with a vocational disability (meeting the admission criteria) is eligible for ODC services. Further information may be received by contacting the Program Specialist at ODC.
