Voluntary early intervention program that provides a comprehensive assessment of families’ needs and strengths to assist with making decisions about what services or community resources are accessible. Short-term help may be available to families with concerns regarding:
- Basic needs (food, clothing, and housing)
- Child care
- Financial needs (budgeting and financial assistance)
- Family health (medical care, mental, and chemical health services)
- Parenting
- Transportation
Referrals are often made to community support services such as child development screening services, food shelves, free or low-cost clothing programs, free health clinics, mental health services, and parenting support classes.
