Provides internet connectivity to millions of underserved student households at no cost to them. Partnering with school districts across the country, the program offers free wireless hotspots and free high-speed data and access to at-cost laptops and tablets (up to the value of approximately $500). Eligible students can get the 100 GB/year plan for free or the school district can apply the same subsidy value of approximately $500 towards plans that offer more data. Unlimited plan data options available to students at no cost. More information listed on the website. Note: Families get to keep internet service for 5 years without having to recertify if they apply directly for the program.
