Court Administration - Jackson County Court Administration

Processes court cases filed in Jackson County and offer other legal services including:

• Civil Court: cases such as lawsuits involving personal injury, property damage, malpractice, employment issues, wrongful death, implied consents, and Tax Court.

• Coordination of court activities

• Conciliation Court (Small Claims Court): claim amounts are limited to $15,000.

• Court records

• Criminal state trial court: processing of complaints for violations of law from minor to major offenses including petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor, and felony offenses, and traffic and parking violations.

• Family Court: cases involving families, divorce, domestic abuse actions, harassment, child custody, and paternity

• Fees and filing: collection and receipt of fees, bonds, and escrow funds; files wills; performs Notary Public services
