Services align with the Minnesota Child and Teen Checkup standards and the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT). Let's Smile promotes oral health among low-income children and teens through a range of preventive and restorative measures: Oral Evaluations and Assessments: - Conducting a thorough examination of oral health - Assessment of dental concerns and conditions - Utilization of X-rays and intra-oral pictures for diagnostic purposes - Detection of infections in gum tissues - Oral cancer screening - Retention checks for sealants Preventive Procedures: - Dental Prophylaxis: Removal of oral plaque, calculus, stains, and bacteria causing cavities and infections - Fluoride Varnish Treatment: Strengthening enamel to prevent cavities - Sealants: Non-invasive procedure forming a protective barrier on permanent molars, reducing food entrapment and bacterial growth Oral Health Education: - Providing valuable information to promote awareness and understanding of oral health practices Communication and Follow-Up: - Regular communication and follow-up with schools and parents/guardians to ensure continuity of care for children Follow-Up Dental Restorative Treatments: - Non-Surgical Extraction: - Performance of non-surgical extractions for specific diseased teeth - Restorative Treatments: - Fillings to address dental decay - Application of Silver Diamide Fluoride (SDF) as a non-invasive treatment - Utilization of stainless steel crowns for extensive decay - Use of nitrous oxide as needed for patient comfort during dental procedures

Fee

- Donations accepted - Patients who are enrolled in a State insurance Minnesota Health Care Plans (MHCP) plan will have their services billed to their insurance plan and the unpaid portion will be paid by grant or donation funding. If no grant or donation funds are available, the balance not claimed as Medical Assistance/Medicaid reimbursement will be classified as Charity Care, a benefit where 100% of the current patient's balance owed after insurance reimbursement will be written off. - All uninsured patients whose family income is at 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines qualify for full charity. The balance will be paid by grant or donation funds. If no grant or donation funds are available, the balance will be classified as Charity Care, a benefit where 100% of the current patient's balance owed will be written off.

- Children and adolescents under age 20 years who are covered by state insurance Minnesota Health Care Plans (MHCP) plans such as Blue Plus, Medical Assistance (MA), South Country Health Alliance, UCare or those who are uninsured - Residents of Fillmore, Houston, Steele, Waseca and Winona counties
