The police department serves the communities of Wayzata and Long Lake, providing professional law enforcement services to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Community members should contact the police department whenever police, fire, or ambulance assistance is needed, including situations such as: - Animal control issues - Burglaries or thefts - Ordinance violations - Parking complaints - Property damage - Traffic accidents Residents should also call for assistance to: - Request an ambulance or medical attention - Report a fire or signs of fire (such as smoke or an activated fire alarm) - Report suspicious behavior or criminal activity (such as shouts for help, breaking glass, loitering, trespassing, or suspicious vehicles or individuals) - Report or witness an accident, fire, or crime
