Primarily serves Aitkin County Income limit is defined as 100% of Federal Poverty Guideline (FPG). Asset guidelines include: $10,000 for single person, $18,000 for a couple. The Medicare part B amount must be included as income in determining eligibility for QMB. Social Security gross income is the amount before Medicare premiums or other payments are deducted.

- This is a Medicaid program for beneficiaries who need help in paying for Medicare services. The beneficiary must have Medicare Part A and limited income and resources. For those who qualify, the Medicaid program pays Medicare Part A premiums, Part B premiums, and Medicare deductibles and coinsurance amounts for Medicare services. Benefits begin the month following the month in which approval occurred
