Senior Food Shelf - East Side Neighborhood Services

- Senior food shelf for Hennepin County residents - Provides free home delivery service for homebound seniors - Accepts donations of nonperishable food items Staff and volunteers help each visitor "shop" for their choice of fresh produce, meat, bread, and shelf-stable foods. Participants may visit once per month and receive 20 pounds of food each time. Pet food and hygiene items are also provided when available.

Administers a broad range of community based social services including: childcare (infants, toddlers, and preschool), summer camp, out-of-school time programs, an alternative high school, employment services for all ages, therapy services including creative arts therapy and a family healing program, food shelves across Hennepin County, transportation services, and classes for older adults including fitness and caregiving support. Also provides facility rental for meetings and events.
