Youth Group Therapy - Woodland Centers

Adolescent Group Therapy is developed for youth who are engaging in patterns of behavior that are negatively impacting relationships and success. The goal of group is to replace maladaptive behavior (conflict with others; substance abuse; school issues; anger; self-harming behavior; emotional problems) with effective coping and problem-solving strategies utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. Individuals learn and practice skills to change behavioral, emotional and thinking patterns associated with problems in living. A commitment of 16 weeks covers all skill areas. Participants are required to have an individual therapist during the course of group therapy.
