Description

Providing MA to refugees NOTE: Refugees who are eligible for Medical Assistance are served through that program. Refugees receiving Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) are automatically eligible for RMA if they are not already MA eligible.

The Department administers the various cash and medical assistance programs as well as child support; is a member of the Blue Plus, UCare, and SCHA delivering the MA programs; operates a licensed Mental Health Center and Crime Victims' Crisis Center; provides child and vulnerable adult protective services; services to persons with developmental disabilities and chemical dependency; in-home family counseling; provides adolescent (SED) day treatment jointly with the Albert Lea School District and children's mental health services.
