Call, write, email or visit website to register to join a car pool or van pool. Metro Transit maintains a data base of individuals who want to commute by carpool or vanpool, sortable by region of employment. For more information, visit website.

Program Fees

  • No Fee
Anyone commuting into the 7 county area who is working or in college only. Can provide personalized service to persons who are blind and deaf; all other persons who have a disability should call Metro Mobility. Service includes:
  • Carpool and vanpool matching services
  • Consultation with employers on marketing and program development of commuter transportation services
  • Preferential parking coordination
  • Sponsors Commuter Challenge in May to encourage persons who normally drive alone to work to use the bus, bike, or carpool on this day
  • Vanpool service: Referral and information to start-up and maintain existing van pools
Pool fees are determined by commuters; it does not provide one-time rides for people.
