Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program - CCAP - Brown County Human Services
Assistance paying child care costs for children up to age 12 and for children with special needs up to age 14. Child care costs may be paid for families while parents work, look for work, or attend school. Family size, family income, and participation in authorized activities are considerations in determining eligibility for and amount of assistance, along with available funding.

Required documents
Must fill out the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Application. For AHIC, must also submit the AHIC Program Application Supplement.
Eligibility
- CCAP: Families who are on MFIP, have had a MFIP case closed within the last 12 months or who meet the income guidelines. - AHIC: Families must have a child under the age of 1 year; have been working, in school or looking for work before the birth of the child; meet income guidelines; not be receiving MFIP, Diversionary Work Program or other child care assistance; not received a total of 12 months of AHIC benefits in the past. The parent staying at home must be 18 years or older and caring for the child full-time. - Residents of Brown County
