Description

Winona Housing and Redevelopment Authority offers four public housing facilities in Winona. Belleview East Apartments are low-income townhomes (2 to 4 bedrooms) located on the corner of Sarnia and Mankato Avenue. Washer and dryer hookups, stove and refrigerator, air conditioner, activity room, and playground are all included at this facility. Maplewood Townhomes are low-income townhomes (2 to 4 bedrooms) located on Kraemer Drive. Washer and dryer hookups, stove and refrigerator, air conditioning, sports fields, picnic area, and playground are all included at this facility. In addition the Semcac Head Start program is on-site and the HRA offers KIDS FIRST, an after school tutoring and activity program. Schaffner Homes are low-income units (efficiency and one-bedroom units) located on West 6th Street. Washer and dryer, stove refrigerator, air conditioning, clothes lines, picnic tables, and an activity room are all included at this facility. Preference is given to veterans for rentals at this facility. Valley View Towers consists of subsidized rental units (efficiency, one, and two-bedroom apartments) for older adults and adult with disabilities. The building is located on east 4th Street. This site offers after-hours secured entry, grill/picnic area, bird feeders, bike racks, a multipurpose area and laundry facility. The facility also accepts dogs and has a dog walking station. Accessible units are available.
