Description
Provides intensive, year-round academic services and enrichment activities to prepare low-income at-risk students holistically for success in college. Students attend Edison Senior High School, North Senior Academy, Patrick Henry High School, and South High School in Minneapolis. Students spend five weeks during the summer living at the university dormitories, attending classes, and related activities. Program includes: - Academic year courses in science, English, ACT, career prep, and college planning - Academic and personal counseling - Cultural and experiential activities ?- Tutorial assistance in high school subjects

An academic and college preparatory program funded by the United States Department of Education whose purpose is to develop the skills and motivation necessary for students to complete high school successfully, and to enter and succeed in college. This program is located at the University of Minnesota's College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) (Twin Cities East Bank Campus) and administered by the TRIO Upward Bound staff.
