- Adult prosecution: Prosecutes felony crimes, misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors
- Child support enforcement: Provides legal services for the Fillmore County Child Support and Recovery Unit, the public authority for child support in Fillmore County. These services include establishing paternity, child support modification, contempt proceedings, and other enforcement actions.
- Civil: Provides legal advice to the County Board and Departments
- Family services: Innitiates CHIPS (Child in Need of Protection or Services) petitions, files involuntary commitment actions, and brings actions to obtain or enforce child support obligations
- Juvenile adjudication: Prosecutes all cases involving juvenile offenders
- Victim/Witness assistance: Assistance and support to the victims and witnesses who play a vital role in the criminal justice system
