Eligibility

Primary serves residents who live in, deliver in, or return home to bury a child in Dodge, Goodhue, LeSueur, Rice, Steele, and Waseca counties

Hours

- Advocate Program: 24 hours/7 days a week - Support Group: 11 am - 1 pm 2nd Wednesday of each month 7 pm - 8:30 pm 4th Tuesday of each month

Description

Provides help and support with: - Creating memories and keepsakes for the child - Educational speakers - Funeral options and guidance (Common Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery): For infants who pass away before 20 weeks' gestation at District One Hospital in Faribault and whose parent(s) choose this option. Graveside services are held twice per year. - Labor and delivery support - Lending library - One-on-one support (in person or by phone) - Support group meetings - Volunteer opportunities for those who wish to support grieving families

Assists parents, family, friends, and professionals who have experienced the death of a child in early pregnancy, or from stillbirth, neo-natal death, birth defect, sudden infant death (SIDS), sudden unexplained death of a child (SUDC), illness, accidental death, or other types of early infant or childhood death.
