Attorney and legal advisor for the County; renders legal advice to County and district officers relative to official duties: - Prosecutes individuals for felonies, gross misdemeanors, and misdemeanors - Prosecutes juveniles who have broken the law and provides a means of protection for children in need - Provides information for media requests and handles public questions and complaints - Victim/witness services and restitution information - Involuntary detention of people who are alleged to have severe emotional or chemical dependency problems and who are unable or unwilling to seek voluntary care for themselves
