Eligibility
Serves individuals ages 55 and older who are unemployed, residents of Hennepin County, and whose annual income is within 200% of poverty

Requires registration card from Workforce Center or HIRED application/registration form birth certificate drivers license proof of address proof of household income social security card/number state ID

Promotes personal dignity and self-sufficiency for older, unemployed, low-income adults by placing them in temporary part-time community service jobs at minimum wage. Assessment of job skills for subsidized job placement Subsidized employment and training program Training provided to acquire new skills and improve on existing skills Participants receive minimum wage while working 20 hours per week for nonprofit and government agencies The goal is to improve the participants' skills to move to an unsubsidized job within one year
