Mayor and City Council: - For member contact information visit the website https://www.farmingtonmn.gov/340/Mayor-City-Council City Departments: - City Administration: For questions, call the intake phone number - Building Inspection: Provides building permit information, building inspections, and fire inspections. - Community Development: Responsible for retaining existing businesses, assisting businesses with expansion, attracting new businesses to the community, and enabling rehabilitation and/or redevelopment of areas within the community - Finance: Farmington residents and businesses are billed quarterly for utilities (water, stormwater, sanitary sewer, street light, and streetlight). Call for questions about utility billing or to set up or discontinue services. - Natural Resources: Downed limbs from boulevard trees should be called to the attention of the Natural Resources Division. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s stormwater system. The stormwater system includes ditches, stormwater ponds, wetlands, creeks, and rivers. - Planning and Zoning Division: Responsible for guiding development and regulating land use within the City of Farmington. Administers and enforces the City’s Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. Processes land use applications such as Conditional Use Permits, Variances, and burning permits.
- Public Works: Responsible for the City's streets, street light outages, sanitary sewer, snow removal, patching, minor reconstructions, street sweeping, and mowing roadsides.
