Application process
There are three options for reporting abuse or neglect of a child:
- Phone: Call and press 1 to make an oral report
- Print: Visit website and print off the report form. Complete the form and fax it to 612-466-9581.
- Visit website: Complete and submit an on-line reporting form
- Emergencies: Call 911

?Provides investigative and intervention services for child abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. Services include:
- Accepting reports of abuse
- Assessment of the initial referral
- Consultation with individuals who suspect abuse
- Consultation with the family to determine the nature of the problem
- Consultation with mandated reporters
- Dependency investigation
- Explanation of reporting statutes and answer questions regarding agency practices
- Ongoing support services for children and their families
- Temporary placement of children who are removed from the home
- Works with the family toward unification or reunification
