Eligibility

Defendants who have served in the United States Armed Forces who are experiencing a treatable behavioral, mental health, or chemical health problem; serve Hennepin County residents

Hours

9:30 am and 10:30 am every Monday (hearings in Courtroom 857)

Participants who are placed on probation are required to pay a correctional service fee; participants may be required to pay a fine and/or restitution

Designed to assist justice-involved veterans by addressing underlying issues such as mental health and substance use disorders through court-ordered treatment, counseling, and mentoring. The program pairs participants with veteran mentors who provide support and accountability, and requires participants to comply with strict guidelines, including community service, random drug or alcohol testing, regular court appearances, and adherence to treatment plans.
