Residential Treatment Program for Youth - PrairieCare
Residential treatment that follows a model which includes the entire family and uses both psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) methods. Treatment goals and plans are made in collaboration with each individual and their parents and guardians. Also offers an after-care component in which residents who are transitioning out of 24-hour care can continue working with psychiatrists and therapists for several months.

Diagnostic Assessment from the last six months; last month of therapy and/or psychiatry notes; letter from a mental health professional recommending residential placement; medical insurance information; name and contact information of child's guardian(s)
Eligibility
Youth ages 10 - 17 who: - Are struggling with long-standing mood disorders, PTSD, reactive attachment disorders, and/or mood dysregulation - Experience long-standing suicidal ideation and/or self-injurious behavior - Require long-term, intensive psychiatric intervention in a safe, secure, and supervised setting - Have the ability cognitively and behaviorally to engage in intensive therapy - Would benefit from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and insight-oriented therapy models - Are willing to pursue up to three months of post-discharge follow-up care
