Auditor: - Prepares and keeps minutes of County Board meetings - Assists with budget, liaison, property, casualty, liability and workers compensation insurance - Accounting officer of the county - Issues checks covering phases of county government - Manages delinquent taxes and tax forfeit lands - Chief election officer for the county - Real and personal property tax calculations - Preparation of tax rolls and statements - Distribution of taxes collected to proper governmental units Treasurer - The treasurer's office receipts in all county monies received - Credit funds to proper accounts - Disburse the funds at the direction of the County Board to cover county liabilities - Invests excess county funds under statutory guidelines to receive the highest return for the county with safety of investments first - Accepts payment for all - Real estate - Personal property - Mineral interest - Mobile home taxes - Maintain tax books showing taxes paid or unpaid, changes of ownership or taxpayers - Maintain an updated list of names of addresses for taxpayers - Maintain and collect delinquent mobile home taxes. - Property tax information - Collect deed and mortgage registration tax - Minnesota Property Tax Refund forms - Notary service - Filing for Notary Commissions and minister credentials - Driver licenses renewals - Appointments for the driven test made with the examiner - Birth and death information and certified copies - Marriage licenses
