Youth Violence Prevention - Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center

Focuses on providing youth and young adults with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to help them make healthy decisions. Provides youth and young adults with the skills to identify and address the underlying causes of harmful behavior and resolve conflicts peacefully while teaching them how to recognize the warning signs of domestic and intimate partnership violence. The goal is for the youth to develop healthy coping skills and build meaningful relationships.

Eligibility

Primarily residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties. Any teen or young adult can request information and join our community events. The YVP Ambassadors are developed through Healing-Centered & Youth Empowerment Training via Oasis of Love Crisis Intervention Center, and they lead school-based affinity groups centered around these topics.

Provides domestic violence and/or sexual assault survivor and offender services using a holistic and culturally relevant approach. Also serves as the direct services program component to families enrolled in Agape 24-Hour Child Development Center and to families in the Twin Cities Metro area.
