Direct Access for SUD - Goodhue County Health and Human Services

Direct Access for SUD allows an individual to go directly to the provider of their choice to receive a comprehensive assessment and access care immediately. A Comprehensive Assessment determines the type of substance use disorder (SUD) and the level of care individuals need to sufficiently address and treat their substance use disorder. Must need to be financially eligible, and either have no health insurance or health insurance that does not fully cover substance use disorder services. Application process

- Call and ask to speak to someone about Direct Access for SUD - Individuals with private insurance, contact private insurance to see who is in network with their plan. - Individuals with Medical Assistance (MA) or insurance through a prepaid health plan (ex. South Country Health Alliance), are completely covered. Contact the provider of your choice and make sure they are in network with the individuals' plan for the comprehensive assessment.
