Interventionists work with students, school and staff in assessing, identifying and treating drug related problems in school Specific goals are: - To increase awareness of and ability to deal with chemical use and related problems

• To provide direct service to students experiencing difficulties with chemical use/abuse of parents

• To develop a school chemical abuse prevention policy

• Provides sexual assault services

• Provides child protection services

• Provides violence prevention services

• Provides youth development services

• The interventionists also help students with non-drug related problems

• The offer support groups for common teen/family problems

• These groups are offered during the school day for ease of access

• College and career readiness

• Academic counseling
