Interventionists work with students, school and staff in assessing, identifying and treating drug related problems in school Specific goals are: - To increase awareness of and ability to deal with chemical use and related problems - To provide direct service to students experiencing difficulties with chemical use/abuse of parents - To develop a school chemical abuse prevention policy - Provides sexual assault services - Provides child protection services - Provides violence prevention services - Provides youth development services - The interventionists also help students with non-drug related problems - The offer support groups for common teen/family problems - These groups are offered during the school day for ease of access - College and career readiness - Academic counseling
