Description
A chemical use assessment is done in order to receive public funding for chemical dependency treatment. The purpose is to determine if the individual may have a drinking or drug problem. Having a chemical use assessment includes an interview with an assessor to review chemical use and its impact on daily life and relationships and decides whether the individual needs treatment and if so, what type of treatment will be the most beneficial.
