Promotes economic, social, legal, and political equality for Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Minnesotans. Serves as an advocacy and advisory body to the governor, legislature, and state agencies, acting as a bridge between API communities and government. The Council engages in policy work, research, community engagement, and capacity building, rather than providing direct social services. Key focus areas include legislation on education, mental health, healthcare equity, data disaggregation, cultural inclusion, and leveraging community resources. No direct services provided
