Hazardous Waste Program - Kandiyohi County Household Hazardous Waste

Household hazardous waste program for the region serving multiple counties. The facility helps residents properly dispose of items that contain toxic and potentially hazardous ingredients such as cleanser, paints, oils, pesticides, etc. - Clean Shop: licensed to accept hazardous waste generated from businesses and farming operations. For those businesses that are already registered with a Minnesota waste ID, the center can accept waste from Minimal Generators (MG) and Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG). - Product Exchange: keeps a product reuse shelf where residents can reuse items that are recieved but in good working order. New items arrive daily and are available for free.

Generally, no fees for household waste; a $.50 charge is applied for each florescent bulb; $1 for each HID bulb Fees vary for business hazardous waste.
