Description
Food shelf which can be used once in a 30-day period. Families receive food for three - five days. Hygiene items may be available as supplies last. Vouchers for clothing (adults and families), and bedding/linens. Provides Bridging referrals for individuals needing furniture. Transportation: Bus and gas cards are available for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and in a Coordinated Entry program or for individuals who are starting a job but haven't received their first paycheck yet. HeatShare, seasonal services, Family Camp, back to school program, seasonal programs Coordinated Entry assessments for adult families and singles 24 and older in Anoka County Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP): Funds are only available to individuals and families facing an eviction. Funding varies month to month and may not be available. NOTE: One phone line is set aside for this program. It stays open until there are more than 80 requests per week. Then it is closes until staff are caught up on intakes. When the intakes are caught up, the line is opened again. Individuals should try the phone number a few times throughout the week. If someone asks, let them know to keep checking Line 5 - it will open again soon. Rapid Rehousing: Provides services for people experiencing homelessness that have found housing. Street Outreach: Provides outreach services such as food and transportation for people experiencing homelessness.
