Provides preventative and restorative dental care for children and adolescents ages birth through 21 who are enrolled in Medical Assistance programs, uninsured, or face barriers accessing dental care.Operates school-based and mobile dental clinics at over 70 elementary, middle, and high schools, Head Start sites, and community locations throughout southeastern Minnesota. Services are also provided at office locations in Rochester and Austin.Services include:- Dental cleanings (prophylaxis)- Dental exams and screenings- Digital X-rays- Extractions- Fillings- Fluoride and varnish treatments- Nutrition counseling- Oral hygiene instruction- Referrals for specialty care- Restorative dental treatment- Sealants- Stainless steel crownsCDHS focuses on improving access to dental care for underserved children by reducing transportation, financial, and scheduling barriers through school-based and community-based care.
