Description

Emergency medicine and Level 4 trauma center for severe and life-threatening situations that require immediate medical attention including: - Adult mental health hospital care: For adults ages 18 and older who need 24 hour hospital care. Criteria for admission to the unit are for the patient to be a danger to self or others. This treatment program is for patients who have a major mental illness and require professional assistance to learn how to cope with significant problems they are experiencing in day-to-day living. Patients receive care in the secured hospital unit while learning how to manage their illness. Professionals from a variety of health care disciplines including psychiatrists, hospitalists, registered nurses, social workers, program specialists and leisure skills facilitators assist patients with treatment and recovery. ?- Chest pain or pressure - Head injury - Heart attack or acute coronary syndrome - Seizures - Severe abdominal pain - Sexual assault - Shortness of breath or pneumonia - Stroke - Sudden, severe headaches, paralysis or weakness - Traumatic injury - Uncontrolled bleeding
