Fees

No charge for leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, and food waste; $10/yard for sod, dirt, brush and tree waste; compost is available for purchase

- Keep a container lined with a compostable bag near the kitchen sink for plate scrapings and prep scraps

- Wrap smelly food, like fish, in newspaper and freeze

- Place food scraps in securely tied compostable bags

- Never use plastic shopping bags

- Twist-ties are okay Allowed: Anything that is or was edible, such as

- Breads

- Cheese

- Coffee grounds and filters

- Dough

- Fish

- Fruits

- Meat

- Old pet food

- Pasta

- Peels and pits

- Raw and cooked food

- Rice

- Small bones

- Spoiled or moldy food
