Evergreen Youth Crisis Shelter - Evergreen Youth & Family Services
- Teen and Parent Hotline: 218-751-4332 Available 24 hours/7 days a week. - Emergency shelter and support services for youth ages 9 - 17 who are in crisis, homeless, or runaways. Family support/coaching/education available for youth and their families. No need to have a residential stay to access family support services. - Safe place for youth to stay while giving families the opportunity to positively resolve conflicts. - Youth awaiting placement or awaiting disposition can receive safe shelter and support services. - Daily classes at the area learning center or in local schools if you're enrolled. - Skill building groups for youth on topics including: substance abuse, anger management, sexual responsibility, mental heath issues and depression, and more. - Free individual counseling for youth. - Free parenting support services for area families. - Drop in (telephone or walk-in) counseling for parents and youth. - Advocacy, outreach and referral services. - Gang prevention and intervention with youth and families. - Substance abuse education for youth and parents. Low cost drug test kits available with instructions ($5-$7).

Application process
If you're in crisis, you can walk-in. If you're able to call first, that really helps! Unfortunately, we are sometimes full. We also offer support over the phone at 218-751-4332.
Fee
Youth and families are not billed for services. Donations are appreciated.
Required documents
We can work with you to collect required information once you arrive. If you have ID, please bring it. Counties or Tribes requesting a stay, will need to pay the per diem specified in our host county contract.
Eligibility
Youth working with a county or tribal social worker should have their worker call us. Youth and parents may also self-refer to the shelter. School staff may refer youth. Call us with any questions. We also serve Beltrami County youth who have a County Mental Health Case Manager - ask your Beltrami county worker about respite services or call us with questions. Serves Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Hubbard, Roseau, Polk, Becker, Red Lake, Mahnomen and Itasca Counties, as well as youth from other areas of the state and country! Adolescents 9 - 17 years of age.

A multi-program youth and family service agency. Provides emergency shelter, subsidized housing, independent living skills, youth and family mental health counseling, youth sober support and activities, drop-in cneter and outreach for homeless and runaway youth, social support for youth on sexual orientation issues and other support services for adolescents and families. Evergreen runs an annual conference focused on youth and families in the Spring of each year.
