Provides home studies to prospective families being considered for adoption. The county handles adoptive home studies for children with significant special needs because of impairment due to emotional, behavioral, developmental, medical, or physical conditions. Home studies are also conducted for adoption of children with siblings and children with a high risk of developing special needs due to a traumatic past.
