A culturally appropriate senior center providing services including: - Bilingual citizenship classes and ESL instruction - Congregate dining - Exercise, health, and nutrition education including Tai-Chi - In-home visits to assess determination of needs - Individual advocacy to access needed services and ensure fair treatment from community-based and government resources, assistance with making or canceling appointments with doctors, filling out forms, paying bills, and bridging cultural gaps - Information and referral - Intrepretation and translation support for limited English speakers going through the naturalization process - Social Media Classes - Transportation to medical appointments, human services appointments, shopping, errands, recreational/social appointments

Eligibility

- Lao and/or Hmong elders age 60 years and older, living in Minnesota - Transportation services for eligible Lao/Hmong elders age 60+ who are living in North Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Crystal, New Hope and Robbinsdale within 12 miles radius from LAOA; priority is given to seniors with greatest social and economic need
