Promotes safety in the lives of victims and others who have been impacted by crime and provides effective, supportive, and informative advocacy. Also offers victim-initiated restorative practices that encourage offenders to take responsibility for their actions and to repair the harm caused to the victim and community. Victims and the community assist in setting the terms of accountability and monitoring and supporting completion of the offender's obligation. In the end, the offender is held accountable to the victim, community and state.
