??- Assists low-income households with heat and electric payments.
  • Assistance amounts/grants are based on a percentage of the household's heating costs, housing type, size of household, income, and fuel type.
??- Clients can and should call for applications from October - May. Starting in October, applications will be processed in the order in which they were received. The actual money is typically NOT available until November, and is paid out in the order that applications were processed. Depending on the client's situation, having an application in process with Energy Assistance may be enough to avoid a shut-off.
  • Homeowners with the highest heating costs will be targeted for assistance with weatherization and energy conservation activities in order to reduce their home heating costs.
  • Assistance amounts/grants are based on a percentage of the household's heating costs, housing type, size of household, income, and fuel type.
