Benton County Attorney

The Benton County Attorney's Office is responsible for the prosecution of all felony-level crimes that occur within Benton County, as well as all petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses occurring in the unincorporated areas of the county.

The County Attorney also represents the county in civil litigation, and represents the State of Minnesota and the Benton County Human Services in juvenile delinquency, juvenile protection and child support matters.

In addition, the County Attorney's Office provides legal counsel to the county departments and assists in the interpretation and enforcement of county ordinances.
