Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a nutrition program that assists pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children to eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. Many working and low-income families are eligible for WIC's benefits. The WIC Program provides:
  • Breastfeeding advice and support
  • Nutrition assessment and feeding tips
  • Referrals to health and social services
  • Vouchers for healthy foods (for example, milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, and eggs)
