Eligibility
- Clients are referred by the Hennepin County Shelter Team
- Only serves families with children or pregnant people
- Clients must be unable to meet their current basic needs. They must be able to function in an unsupervised environment and not require nursing care.

- Monday - Friday: Call Hennepin Shelter Hotline 8 am - 9 pm; call 211 afterhours
- Saturday, Sunday, and holidays: Call Hennepin Shelter Hotline 1 pm - 9 pm; call 211 afterhours
- Upon being approved, the guest goes through an explanation of rules and resources by Resident Resources staff at People Serving People. Within a day or two of arrival, the guest receives an orientation by their assigned Family Advocate, who covers information concerning all services offered at the shelter as well as resources within the community. Advocates work with guests to create short-term and long-term goals, which may be updated during their stay. Referrals are also made to services within the community.

- Permanent Supportive Housing: Families maintain a lease for their apartments

Family emergency shelter open 24 hours daily/7 days a week, includes three meals a day, advocacy, early learning programs, referral services, employment and housing services, free local phone calls and free laundry services. Many basic needs are provided including diapers/wipes, hygiene items, detergent, etc.
