Safe Haven Resource Center houses the Safe Haven Shelter Legal Advocacy Program. Other partners are housed on a part-time or on-call basis: - Visits to victims after perpetrator has been arrested. - Support for victims including accompaniment to medical and legal procedures - Assistance gathering and documenting evidence in criminal and civil cases - Communication network linking survivors with probation officers, prosecuting attorneys, and law enforcement - GED assistance for domestic abuse victims - Information and referral. - Assistance with Orders for Protection/Harassment Orders - If experiencing legal problems related to domestic violence, please call for screening and appointments - Criminal justice advocacy for victims - Assistance with housing, education, employment, and connecting to public benefits and community resources - Youth support groups and mentoring for children who have been exposed to domestic violence Safety planning at many different stages of a relationship with an abuser: - In a relationship - Post-arrest and release from jail - Throughout the restraining order process - Parenting time exchanges - Post-separation or throughout continued contact with an abuser
