Financial Assistance for Military Families - Minnesota Military Family Foundation
Distributes money through grants and loans to currently-serving Minnesota military members and their families that are experiencing financial stress. Examples of types of grants/loans may include but are not limited to: appliance replacement or repair, vehicle repair, airline tickets for parents to visit and be with their wounded warriors, financial assistance for mortgage/rent payments, and undesignated financial assistance.

Application process
- Military families in need should contact their local Soldier and Family Readiness Center for a referral and application for financial assistance, visit https://minnesotanationalguard.ng.mil/minnesota-soldier-and-family-readiness/ for a list of centers in Minnesota. - Once the need for financial assistance is verified each Minnesota Military Family Foundation board member reviews the request. If a majority of board members approve the request, the funds are released. The board members vote electronically, so requests can be approved quickly once they are received.
