If a majority of board members approve the request, the funds are released. The board members vote electronically, so requests can be approved quickly once they are received.

Examples of types of grants/loans may include but are not limited to: - Appliance replacement or repair - Airline tickets for parents to visit and be with their wounded warriors - Financial assistance for mortgage/rent payments - Undesignated financial assistance - Vehicle repair
