There are two types of adult foster care: - A licensed residential setting that has established standards for licensing, administering and providing social services to functionally impaired adults in adult foster care homes so they receive an assessment of need for foster care and are offered community, health and social services that may be needed or requested. - A provider with a 245D-HCBS program license may provide these services in a variety of settings, including a person’s own or family home, in the community, or in settings requiring an additional facility license.
