Medicare Partners - Seven County Senior Federation
Medicare Partners (MP) is not insurance and does not pay any bills. It is a statewide charity care program for Medicare beneficiaries, at which participating providers agree to accept Medicare as payment for enrollees and waive out-of-pocket charges. MP is a program designed to bridge the financial gap between what Medicare pays to healthcare providers and what MP enrollees are responsible to pay out-of-pocket. Through an annual administrative process of income and asset eligibility, Seven County Senior Federation (SCSF) certifies applicants to the program and issues those who qualify a MP card indicating enrollment for a 12-month period. Participating providers (which are voluntary) agree to consider waiving Medicare's out-of-pocket charges for MP enrollees. In other words, MP enrollees can better afford other essential needs by saving on their Medicare expenses.
