Safe at Home - Minnesota Secretary of State

Eligibility

Survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or others who fear for their safety. A parent or guardian can act on behalf of a minor or incapacitated person. Serves those with an actual residential address in Minnesota.

Application process

Application must be made through an Accredited Application Assistant located at victim services agencies throughout Minnesota. To find a list of Accredited Application Assistants, call or visit the Secretary of State's website: www.sos.state.mn.us/safe-at-home/enroll-in-safe-at-home/

Program Fees

  • No Fee
An address confidentiality service that allows individuals to use an address that Safe at Home assigns them. Correspondence is then forwarded to their actual mailing address, which is not disclosed. Address can be used on a driver's license. Safe at Home also accepts service of process on the participant's behalf and assists in voting via absentee ballot.
