Veterans Benefits - Olmsted County Veterans Service Office

Advises and assists veterans and their dependents with the following: - Applying for health care enrollment for VAhealth care including primary medical care, medications, inpatient and outpatient care, chemical dependency, optometry, orthopedics, podiatry, audiology, and more - Burial benefits - Claims for compensation and pension - Employment - Housing including VA home loan, State Veterans Homes (long term care, board, and care), and homeless resources - Legal clinics - Recreational/discounts for veterans - Temporary financial assistance through State Soldiers and Assistance Programs (SSAP) including dental, optical, special needs education benefits, substance assistance, and war orphan benefits - Transportation to and from VA-authorized appointments for ambulatory veterans who do not have other means of transportation due to financial or medical hardship
