Association includes the following:
- Conduct regional conferences each fall throughout the state on social issues
- Furnish information on pending human services bills and support sound social legislation
- Provide a statewide forum for the presentation and discussion of issues in the human service field
- Publishes a quarterly newsletter for membership on legislative issues and programming updates. The newsletter also spotlights members and highlights upcoming events
- Serve as a channel for local and state planning interests on matters of human services
- Sponsor annual MSSA conference
- Sponsor training events in one day forums on variety of human service issues
