  • Most of the participants are Karen, but program also serves other new refugees including those from Africa
  • Serves residents of Twin Cities area including Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties

Helps new refugees, especially within their first year in the United States, adjust to American society and achieve self-sufficiency. In collaboration with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, the program assists with public benefits, housing, refugee resettlement, immigration-related support, and limited transportation to essential services.
