Patient Financial Advocates can answer questions and offer assistance regarding patients bills and provide information on several financial assistance programs based on the patients' circumstances, income, and insurance coverage. Programs include: - Hutchinson Health Financial Assistance: Available to uninsured or underinsured patients based on their ability to pay for emergency and other medically necessary care. - Charity Care Program: Financial assistance is based on the patient's total income, compared to the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Patients whose total income and family size place them at or below 200% of the FPL will receive 100% financial assistance discount. The amount of financial assistance discount may increase based on the household's total income level. The patient must have fully exhausted any available government assistance programs and any available health insurance benefit to be eligible.
